House Sketch Challenge for UKScrappers - back to paper

Jasper No - before all journalling revealed

Now you can see all the journalling
I have been loving the art journalling and I think it has given me my scrapping mojo back. With all the big projects last year I did for birthdays, christmas etc I think I had come to find the scrapping a chore rather than the pleasure it was. So here it is a chaotic page about Jasper. It does look like it has had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at it but that's okay I kind of like it. The challenge meant you had to follow the sketch and use 50% journalling - eek not my favourite thing on LOs. I solved it by creating a tag holder that holds five numbered tags and then folds out with more journalling ( I tag stapled to top of layout) and I used some of the journalling tickets I received from secret santa.
The explanation of No inside the fold down tag holder
6 tags with his story on it

The tag holder pocket thingy

Cluttered with details and journalling

I printed out b/w mini photos and stuck to a ribbon to create an extra embellishment, DI on the tickets and more journalling underneath

Cut heart bubble out of paper added comment, chipboard arrow covered in paper

I outlined the American Thicker letters with a pink pen and swiped pen around page and bw photos

Supplies: Blue Card stock, Distress Ink added
Pink Cardstock
American Crafts double sided backyard for polka/brown paper
American thickers umbrella letters
Ribbons from stash
Journalling tickets altered with distress inks
Assorted pens

Jasper modelling new collar - look at those eyes

We have been trying to get Jasper (11 weeks old) used to his collar. I love these pictures of him and don't those eyes make you melt. Quite a lot of blurry ones here as he does not stay still for long! It doesn't help that he blends into the kitchen floor...
What's that I see?
Quick pounce

Calm again after puppy frenzy time

He just moves so quickly - we should rename him the blur

Look at those eyes...

Happy new year and puppy love to all and many more items to scrap

29 December coming home

Motion blur

Will need to work out how to capture his quick movements but blurry tail shows he happy
Wishing a peaceful new year to all. Puppy madness has hit our house and for the past few days we have been adjusting to life with our new lab pup. He is relatively calm most of the time and then he has those moments of puppy madness. Most of my photos are when he has exhausted himself and then flakes out fast asleep as the mad moments pass in a blur of yellow fluff. So far he has not been bothered by fizzy wine corks popping, new year fireworks in neighbour's garden (which we were worried would terrify him but he just looked up and went back to sleep), visitors and general mayhem. The one thing he objects to so far is music by Soundgarden - other bands are fine but there must be certain tones and pitches that worry him as he hid under Lens Guy feet when they came on.

At present he has white eyebrows and flashes of white on his hips

There are puppy toys all over our kitchen

I had been drying him with this and he ran off with it. He was so pleased with himself and then he fell asleep

So peaceful

Visiting the puppy

Our puppy is 7 weeks old and in 13 days we get to take him home. We could have picked him up on Christmas Eve but for his and our aged relatives sake we decided to wait until the 29th. He just so cute.

Addicted to Tim Holtz blog and 12 tags of christmas and new addition to family

Currently totally obsessed with tim's blog and his 12 tags of Christmas. If you have somehow not seen this (highly unlikely) I strongly recommend a bit of a tim fix to get you in a crafting christmassy mood. His blog is at timholtz.typepad.com I am waiting for the arrival of day 4.
On a very different subject we went and chose the most beautiful yellow Labrador puppy last night. He is coming to live with us in 4 weeks time. Now all we need to sort out is a name. Youngest daughter wants to call him Baxter, youngest son favours jaune whilst eldest son keeps emailing from France about our menagerie. Lens guy wants something short with hard consonants as this good for dogs. Me? I like Ben. No doubt there will be much discussion and negotiation in our household.
