Art Journal Travel

this week's challenge was to use an old map background and journal about the best and worst places you have been to me. When I thought about this so many of my memories (good and bad) were about the journey to a place not just the place. I covered an old map of Scotland with a thin coating of white Dylusions paint using an old credit card and then used Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters, faded jeans and China blue to stamp travel related words and images.

I used the car from the Tim Holtz visual artistry set. This is a very muted piece for me as the journalling was the most important element this time. I stamped the word Travel using Rangers black archival ink.

  5. This sounds so like our holidays but just with 4 children.....driving all the way to Cornwall with only 1 CD, driving to France with the air-con broken in 40 deg heat; love this page as it could be us too!
