Torin's Rainbow Scrappy Log quilt

I began working on this in October, which was last time I blogged but life gets in the way. Mum now without a hip and at home pretty helpless waiting for infection all clear and new hip so I have been a little busy and distracted.
I made this quilt for my nephew's Christmas, he is 6 and had seen his cousin's quilt with name and thought he would quite like one. Here's hoping... I love it. The first photo shows the finished quilt the night I finished it but it is not a great photo. I used the scrappy logs from the Ellison Lane QAL and Maureen Cracknell's super easy Quilt as you go tutorial.
I had to wrap it up the next night to pass on to my sister who was up from Devon for the weekend looking after mum so Lens Guy said he would take some photos for me in daylight so over to his photos as the only photo I had taken was one at night before I put on the binding.

Venturing out  of straight line parallel line quilting. As Torin's name has five letters I created a scrappy rainbow block top and bottom to finish of that row.

Sorry for picture heavy post but I love that quilt.
